| WHAT IS IT?
Your Chamber of Commerce is an action agency designed to meet community needs. It is a voluntary organization of individuals and businesses, like yourself, who band together to advance the commercial, financial, industrial, and civic interests of a community area.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Action groups are the backbone of the Chamber. They are units that accomplish the organization’s goals and objectives. The needs of the community and Chamber policies determine the kinds and number of action groups.
WHAT DOES IT DO?
The variety of a Chamber’s activities is virtually unlimited, depending on community needs and the Chamber’s desire to meet those needs. The Chamber’s overall mission of community development is determined by the organization’s goals or program of work.
WHO ARE IT'S MEMBERS?
Any firm or individual sharing a common interest in community improvement is eligible for membership.
WHO PAYS FOR IT?
The organization’s expenses are apportioned among its members in the form of yearly dues.
